  • The Power of a Baptism - jayreynolds.info
represents a new refreshing life we have with Jesus On May 25 one of our adult leaders kicked things off He said he wanted to set an example by baptizing his own son but first he needed to be baptized himself As he obeyed God and pledged his confidence in a relationship with Christ he was baptized The whole room cheered and shouted for joy in watching this leader set a solid example After a couple more baptisms he had an opportunity to baptize his very own son Wow Note I look forward to the day I can baptize my own son or daughter I am already excited Some other amazing things that happened a High School student that I baptized at Bigstuf last summer serving as a small group leader to a group of 7th graders and led two guys in a decision to follow Jesus had the privilege of baptizing one of the guys he led to Christ It was such a joy for me to witness I have poured years into this high school student and to watch him baptize a younger student EPIC We also had an 8th grade student recently baptized in March asked by a 7th grader to baptize her The 7th grade girl mentioned how she looked up to this 8th grader by watching her baptism in March It was an awesome example of one person impacting another by their actions Personally I baptized 4 students I m excited for them I was blessed an honored to be a part of their story I guess I am more excited than ever to see what God is up to at Hope Community Church Student Ministries Seeing Leaders High School students Middle School student baptizing other people I just can t explain all that God

  • Do I even like Mustard? - jayreynolds.info
come and make nests in its branches Matthew 13 32 ESV The Mustard seed is very small That s kind of how our faith begins We start to believe in Jesus taking a step at a time During the beginning stages it becomes very easy to move around in the soil The roots have not quite gripped yet or able to hold on to the deep depths But when it does the tree begins to form The faith that you have it will deepen As life happens you are challenged to lean more on your faith or more on yourself When you lean on your own understanding that is like a tree trying to hold on without having roots Some trees might be able to maintain that for a little bit but over time the weight of the tree will eventually topple over When you take the faith side as a leaning post your roots begin to break through ground as you would not believe Sometimes it is quite difficult Sure going deeper takes work and effort Here I sit Thinking about where I have been in life Through all the experiences many great times along with many sorrows But

  • Freedom to Vote - jayreynolds.infojayreynolds.info
many different occasions some we can recall without a blink of an eye while other occurrences we never hear about Soldiers stand up for Freedom to protect the citizens of this country provide security to a nation and uphold the constitution our forefathers built Those forefathers fought legally to build an infrastructure of government to allow people to have Freedom Soldiers fought to uphold those Freedoms and continue to move this country forward thru conflict Why is it that people are so lazy when it comes to voting when many people have strived so hard to uphold the ability to have Freedom Voting is a practice of Freedom In some countries such as Iraq you need to wait in long lines to vote and it is quite dangerous as you don t know if someone will try to sabotage the opportunity to have your voice heard How is it other countries and cultures people are willing to put their Freedom on the line to Vote At what point will this country feel so passionate and have a Care for what happens I guess it does kind of bug me that some people don t vote and don t seem to care I think voting is a way to honor our soldiers who fought for Freedom Every time I hear I m Proud To Be An American by Lee Greenwood I think about what this country is all about I m FREE I have a Choice I can make a difference Share this Tweet Email More Print Author Jay No comments Be the first to post a comment Close Leave a Reply Cancel reply Previous article Give some bibles November 4 2010 Next article Election Day 2010 November 2 2010 Find Some Cool Stuff Search for Categories Art Artshow2015 Family Food
